The short version

Huy Cal reads and displays your calendar on your device without uploading calendar content. Newer analytics-enabled iOS Ad Hoc builds (distributed directly to registered devices) use Mixpanel for basic product usage analytics. There is no account or advertising.

Which builds this covers

The analytics disclosure below covers the newer iOS Ad Hoc builds prepared from October 8, 2026. Publishing this policy does not update an installed app. Earlier iOS builds without the analytics integration, including the September 28, 2026 build uploaded to App Store Connect, do not send these analytics. The public Mac 1.0 download released September 28, 2026 is also unchanged and does not include this integration. This is not an announcement of a new App Store or Mac release.

Calendar access

Huy Cal asks for full access to your calendars so it can show your events in the time zones you choose. It reads events (title, time, location, calendar name and colour) from the calendars already on your device, such as iCloud, Google, Exchange, and subscribed calendars. It reads them live each time it draws a day or week.

Huy Cal never creates, changes, or deletes events, and never stores a copy of them. You can turn access off at any time in Settings (iPhone) or System Settings (Mac) under Privacy & Security, Calendars.

What Huy Cal stores on your device

• Your time zones. The cities you picked and their short names.
• Hidden calendars. Which calendars you chose to hide.
• Preferences. Day or week view, theme, and light or dark appearance.

These settings live in the app's own storage on each device. Huy Cal does not sync or upload their values. Analytics-enabled builds also store a random installation identifier and queued analytics events locally.

What Huy Cal does not do

• No account or sign-in.
• No advertising tracking, session recordings, or collection of screen content.
• No advertising.
• Calendar viewing works offline. Analytics-enabled builds send usage events to Mixpanel when connected.
• No request for access to your contacts, photos, or device location. Calendar event locations are read only as part of calendar access.

Product analytics

In analytics-enabled builds, Mixpanel receives explicit events for app launches, changes to zones, view mode and calendar filters, and use of the Today button. Each event includes the app and platform, an event timestamp, standard device and operating-system metadata, app version, and a randomly generated installation identifier stored on your device. This identifier lets us understand repeat usage; it is not your name, email, advertising ID, or an account. Separate installations are not merged into one person.

We do not send event titles, event times, event locations, calendar names or identifiers, or your chosen time zones. IP-based geolocation enrichment is disabled in the app, though Mixpanel necessarily receives your IP address when handling the connection. We do not use this data for advertising or tracking across other companies' apps or websites.

Analytics is processed by Mixpanel to help us understand and improve features. Deleting the app does not automatically delete events already received by Mixpanel. Contact us below with privacy questions or data requests; without an account, we may be unable to associate an installation's records with you.

This website

This page on huddee.com uses Mixpanel for page views and automatically captured website interactions, with browser/device metadata and a browser identifier. Website analytics is separate from native app analytics; the native app does not automatically capture screen interactions or calendar content.

Children

Huy Cal does not ask for age. Analytics-enabled builds collect the usage data described above regardless of age. Contact us if you have concerns about a child’s data.
